Launch of the Week

Knock, a notification API, released CLI 1.0 with personal logins, resource creation, JSON schemas, and support for its existing branching beta. Keeping notification changes in developers’ normal workflow could help it win evaluations against Novu and Courier, particularly when several teams share one messaging system.

Company Launch

Numgate, a phone-number validation API, made its public introduction on January 4 to help developers flag suspicious numbers during signup. Its API combines number formatting, line-type detection and heuristic confidence scoring, giving teams evaluating Twilio Lookup another option for screening numbers before sending an OTP.

Enterprise Watch

WorkOS, an enterprise authentication platform, added organization selection to Connect authorization, allowing an application to read the selected organization from the resulting access token. Making tenant context explicit could reduce integration ambiguity for B2B products comparing WorkOS with Auth0 or Clerk.
