Launch of the Week
Knock, a notification API, launched its dashboard agent in public beta to build emails, manage messaging resources, and create audience segments using account context. Bundling that assistance into every plan during beta could make experimentation easier against platforms such as Courier, though teams still need to review generated content and targeting.
Company Launch
MonkePay, an API payment service, launched middleware that lets developers charge AI agents in USDC per request. It offers an alternative to PayAI for x402 payments, combining wallet provisioning, payment verification and payouts.
Enterprise Watch
WorkOS, an enterprise authentication platform, localized its widgets in 90 languages, including dates and text that can match the surrounding application. That could remove an awkward language break in international onboarding, a useful buying criterion when comparing it with Auth0.
GTM Trends
WorkOS, an enterprise authentication platform, launched a free browser-based JWT Debugger that inspects and verifies tokens locally without requiring an account. A utility competing with JWT.io can introduce developers to the brand at the moment they have an authentication problem, although free-tool use does not guarantee product adoption.
More Devtool News
- ✨ Mux, a video API platform, added engagement heatmap and hotspot tracking to its SDKs. The new instrumentation captures which parts of a video attract attention. Teams must update their SDKs, and the announcement says the corresponding query APIs are still forthcoming; the video platform competes with Cloudinary.
- ✨ Mux, a video API platform, added asset downloads and playback controls to its dashboard. Teams can download source-quality files and static renditions, name live streams, and manage playback IDs without scripting those actions. That improves manual operations but does not replace automation for bulk work; Mux competes with Cloudflare Stream.
- ✨ WorkOS, an enterprise authentication platform, published an open-source OpenAPI specification covering its API surface. Developers can generate typed clients and validate requests using a machine-readable contract. Generated code still needs integration tests, a consideration when comparing its tooling with Clerk.
