Launch of the Week
Sanity, a headless CMS, added video asset versioning to Media Library, including history, promotion of a current version, and an option to synchronize document references. That could make video replacements easier to govern against Contentful, although subtitles tied to a specific version may need updating.
Company Launch
Wattfare, an AI usage billing service, introduced a developer preview that lets people connect their own inference budget to an app, set spending limits, and revoke access. It gives developers a hosted connection layer for user-funded AI features, an alternative to wiring up OpenRouter’s OAuth flow directly.
Enterprise Watch
WorkOS, an enterprise authentication platform, added Snowflake streaming for Audit Logs, writing application events alongside customers' warehouse data with setup in the Admin Portal. Letting buyers analyze product activity in an existing data environment could ease procurement conversations against Auth0.
GTM Trends
Mux, a video API platform, moved Robots from free technical preview to paid beta while keeping its workflows and API behavior unchanged. The transition makes AI processing a billable part of the video stack, giving teams comparing Cloudinary a concrete reason to measure processing cost alongside output quality.
More Devtool News
- ✨ WorkOS, an enterprise authentication platform, added roles for groups. Current and future members inherit group roles, including roles scoped to resources. Centralization reduces repetitive grants but makes group membership a consequential access decision; compare Clerk.
- ✨ Sanity, a headless CMS, improved release validation and visual editing in Studio 6.1. Clicking a release error now jumps directly to the problematic field, and a Portable Text refocusing issue is fixed. Editors still resolve the underlying validation problem, but finding it takes fewer steps than before; alternatives include Strapi.
- ✨ Mux, a video API platform, localized dashboard timestamps and added a UTC display option. Data users can choose a common time reference while timestamps follow browser language. Teams still need to agree which display they use during incidents, a small operational detail when comparing Cloudinary.
